Wheels and Hubs

HubsWheel

Our hubs have been cast and machined in the same manner as our barrels and other parts. The hub pattern was taken from an original Griffon hub. We have found a way of holding the liner in the hub - the liner is cast in at production stage not shrunk in afterwards. The hub is then machined up to suit the brake plate with about 0.5mm tolerance with brake shoe, so a little adjustment can be made. The liner is a special spun material that will not polish when the brakes are applied. In tests we have carried out our brakes/brake shoe combination are probably the best there is for a 6" single shoe braking system. The hub should be used with our brake plate and shoes as this combination works perfectly.
